Colorado Thespian (Not Lesbian) Conference

So I am significantly tired. A whole lot of fun, in fact a ton. And I must begin with the biggest news first. We made MAIN STAGE!!!!!!!!!!! Explanation: We have something called IEs (Individual Events) in which we perform theatrical pieces. Main stage is where about 8 of the absolutely most crazy insane best actors in the state perform their pieces in front of the whole conference. And Collin and Dan are amazing and did Duet Musical "What You Own" from Rent and made it to MAIN STAGE!!! Our entire group went crazy!!!!! They sang/acted it flawlessly. Making main stage is like having your team win state. Anyways, I had my own IE which I did ("Over the Tavern" by Tom Dudzick) and I will now attempt to recall this conversation from memory...

**Memory Blury Sequence**
(Having just come back from the convention center I saw my theatre teacher "Mr. Goldson" in the hall of the Adams Mark on 16th mall.)
Goldson: Austin I need to talk to you about your monologue. (grabs my sleeve and pulls me into the room.)
Austin: I know, I have been worrying about it all day, I screwed it up because I made to large of a shift in my levels too quickly.
Goldson: I thought you did great.
Austin: No, I screwed it up.
Goldson: I don't think so. (Starts filing through folder with all of our results. And pulls out a Superior Award Certificate) (quick explaining: Ranking system in increasing order: Fair, Good, Excellent, Superior.)
Austin:**senseless blabbering about how I didn't believe it and how happy I was while barely holding back tears**
Goldson: Congradulations!
Austin: Thank you! (X1000) (I think I nearly killed him when I hugged him because I lifted him off the ground [he is kind of short] and did not put him down for like 5 seconds.)
**Memory Fading Sequence**

I got a Superior Rating, which is amazing and not too easy to get. The only other people to get it this year was Collin and Dan. I get my picture up on the wall of Distinquished Thespians at my school (which is a funny because everyone makes crazy faces). It is like going to quarter or semi-finals or something. The amazing Jessica got one last year but she was not quite as crazy because she loves trying to convince people she isn't good at acting. I am bragging on this because I did not want to be a brat at conference. Okay, I got that out of my system. No one really wants to listen to me descirbe in length conference so I am just going to say it was fun.

p.s. Brittany Burklin also got a Superior Rating and almost made main stage so congradulate her.
p.s.s. Jessica/Collin/Jessa/Shannon/Ely/Amy all did amazing with their auditions to colleges and most got called back to about 10 colleges for scholarships or acceptance to theatre programs.
