I think she might be excited.

I am flying out to Boston this weekend for the chance to hopefully get the AJ Gordon Scholarship (which is a lot of money). They choose 200 students from 1000 applicants and then 35 students from the 200 for the scholarship. Basically my odds are 1 in 5. So I probably will not get it but at least it will be to fly out to Boston.

It is difficult to think of my life without this strange little phenomenon.

This might sound strange, but I really REALLY love blogs. Now I must give props to Sarah J. for getting me hooked, however, I do not think a lot of my friendships would be the same without blogs. I was really honestly sad when Chapter One ended. I am really happy that Erin and Cierra have blogs. Somehow these strange web pages have given me a glimpse into the life of my friends. Things they could never tell me or I could tell them, but somehow telling it to the internet makes it alright. I do not think I would be as good as friends with a lot of people. I am not sure if I would still be talking with Kate on Wednesdays if it were not for her blog that helped me keep connected with her for such a long time. Anyways I have been reading over some of my own posts and while it is true that I am not that coherent and my life is not really that interesting, those kinds of posts will not do when I go to college. They do not say enough. I do not think I have the heart to stop Out Past the Road, and I wouldn't want to either but I think it either needs to be reinvented or I need to start a new blog. I wrote this down in an effort to write posts with more substance (and also so I do not forget that I was thinking this.) I will keep all of you informed if I start a new blog.

I hate Fox!

It seriously depresses me that Arrested Development is being cancelled. This is hands down the funniest show on television. If you disagree then you are wrong. It sucks because it is so brilliant and people are just not smart enough to understand. I really hope Showtime saves it, because it deserves it. Stupid Fox thinks it is more important to keep crappy shows like The War at Home and The Bernie Mac Show on the air instead of Arrested Development. Gah! Why must good shows be cancelled?

I thought it was funny. And let's face it, that is the only thing that matters.

So I went to the dentist today after school. Normally this would be nothing worth posting about, but I thought it was a very entertaining experience. Other than the fact that I could not find the room, it was pretty normal until they decided to do the X-ray pictures of my wisdom teeth. They use that machine where it revolves around your head as you stand there. Well about half way through it starts beeping and jerking back and forth and the assitant says "Uh oh". "Uh Oh" is not something you want to hear when you have a machine firing radiation into your head. So she said "Step out very slowly." I didn't really care, I figured I already had brain cancer so there was nothing else I could do. She gets someone to fix the machine as we go take pictures with another X-ray. Well it kept screwing up so she kept stabbing film into my mouth again and again till she was finally satisfied with the pictures. Naturally I am very tired after school and all of this, not to mention the really relaxing music playing. So as they start probing my mouth, I fall asleep. The lady wakes me up and after I had been asleep for a couple of seconds but to no avail I just go right back to sleep as she pokes and prods my gums with steel objects. They finally finshed (me barely awake) and we go back to the insane machine again, which actually works this time. The dentist then looks at the results and says "Uh Oh". What is it about this machine that makes people say "Uh Oh"? Well turns out one of my 3 wisdom teeth has a root wrapped around an artery. Clearly, this is a bad situation so he recommends me to a specialist. They say I need to get it removed in the next 2 months or else it might get worse. I think the funniest part had to be when the dental assitant was telling me about what to do when I go to the oral surgeon. "Now when you go in they are going to talk you through what they are going to do, how long it is going to take, recovery and athestsia, just tell them you want to be knocked out for it." I am sure this is some sort of decision I get to make "Oh yes Mr. Anthestiologist, make sure you knock me out cold, I do not want to be awake for this." I talked careers in medicine with my dentist and he told me which professions make the most money and that I should be one of those. I was very tired after this and went to sleep.

In honor of her majesty.

It seems like a lot of people have been creating blogs lately. (probably because they discovered the evilness of myspace and how shallow and stupid it is compared to blogger.) Anyways I would like to highlight one of the new blogs which I think is going be absolutely amazing. I look forward to her entertaining posts.
